Granted that you are a Snook fisherman then you realize what those amounts indicate. But, if your not then 28-32 inches is the slot that the keeper snok have to be in to keep them. Snook are really incredibly safeguarded fish, and that they ought to be. I like to consider them as my treasures because I normally catch in release. I usually only keep just one per year. This is definitely my 1st post and I am ultimately just studying the template and playing around with some of the settings-- there will be more useful text as the web pages grows!
I initially transfered to Southern Florida 5 calendar years ago (2007). I hung out down here for about 9 thirty day periods at that time and advanced to ramble around the country. Within a year of departing I decided to come back for good, it was the fishing that called me back. Theres is absolutely nothing like it, if you have never fished South Florida before long you are missing out-- that simple. So here I am, still residing North of West Palm Beach. Just one of the primary areas that showed me how to battle big fish was certainly the Palm Beach Inlet Pump House, it is nick named Snook Heaven. We have a blast when we here. The Snook are pretty much always nipping here, no mater what time of year. I have actually landed lunkers day, evening, summer, and winter season. Its full of mostly medium size Snook, but there are some larger swimming around hanging around for some wholesome baits. Snook are not the only fish that I have taken out here-- we have landed everything ruing bait runs-- even monster Tarpon. So yep, I found out how to fish the Inlet. At the time I was abiding on Singer Island and pretty much researched all over that island hunting for spots. Having the deputies called on me was fairly common, but even they started to get a remarkable report with me. The police officers on Singer Island come to pass fairly laid back if you demonstrate them some respect (just like many deputies), they really just dont take satisfaction in bums (pardon my french). I just did everything I ought to do to get in the water. I did a lot of wade angling that season, waistline deep within the inter coastal fishing soft lures in the mangs having my durable Stradic-- those were the good old days! Truth be told there was this one section that I liked to go, itted is directly in front of this ladies condo. I would often park like one-half a mile away because she had previously called up the deputies on me 3 or 4 times. I remember sneaking in to the mangs and splashing out with my rod and backpack praying that I would not get snipped by a shark. This lady must have indeed constantly been on the prowl for people fishing there since when I would walk out in front of precisely where the Mangroves stopped and into the area that was in front of her home, I would undoubtedly invariably see her waiting in the big picture home window. Once I caught on to where to park so she could not screw me, I could just smile, wave, and cast ever so peacefully into that inter coastal water. That year I lived on Singer Island was one of the best years of my life time. In fishing the pump house and setting to the spots I discovered in the inter coastal, I was able to meet a few cool locals that were down to school me up on fishing down here. I am super grateful for those guys and hopefully you will get to hear more about them in my later posts. fishing rod review Lets talk about one of the reels I do own, the Shimano Stradic FI 4000 The primary feature I love about this reel is that fact it is lightweight and very heavy duty. When I began to learn salt water fishing I went out and purchased some random rod and reel arrangement with this weighty freakin reel on it. After I casted that thing about 25 instances, I was ready to call it a day. With the Stradic FI 4000, I can cast hundreds of times without getting the least bit worn down. I burned through a few other small off brand name reels trying to keep light in weight tackle, and then I found this little baby. Im pretty darn sure that this reel will for life be my favorite. I have the Shimano Stradic FI 4000 specifications noted below. Now this is for the older model of Stradic fishing reel made by Shimano. They do have a never version out that I have not tried yet, but it appears really sweet.
Line Capacity (lb|yds) 8|240, 10|200, 12|160-- What is this? That is a small reel in assessment to big game fishing reels, but it is all you require for catching fish from shore. I have landed 80 + pound Tarpon on this reel. One thing to remember with the line capacity is that the specs are for mono filament line, if you are using braided line (which you should be in my opinion) then the reel will hold way more line than what is exemplified by the spec capacity. Gear Ratio 5.8:1 - This is good. Every one time you reel the handle, it takes the reel almost 6 complete revolutions. It makes for reeling in a hefty sea beast a little less demanding, just remember to keep your rod tip up so the fish doesnt break you off! Line retrieve per crank 36 inches - This is related to the gear ratio Weight 11.6 oz - This is one of my favorite things about this reel! When I am casting artificial baits 100 times over and over, I dont like to use a heavy reel because my arm will get tired very quickly. Additional Features - Aluminum frame + graphite sideplate and rotor, S-Concept, S A-RB bearings, Fluidrive II, Super Stopper II, Machined aluminum handle shank, AERO Wrap II, waterproof drag, Maintenance port, Repairable clicker, and Bearings 5BB, 1RB I used to feel that I could possibly just walk into a tackle outlet, take hold of some inexpensive combo and be on my way. As a matter of fact, most people that I fished with at the time felt the same way. What I found was that I was fishing with the wrong individuals. The pros are using good gear, and do there research on spots. They are not only good at what they do because they use good tackle, but it has a whole lot to do with it. I dropped a link to this real for you below because it has been one of the greatest invests I have ever made in my fishing tackle.
I have been fishing the St. Croix Legend Elite along with the Shimano Stradic 4000 as my own personalized combo for more than a year right now. I call her "Lady of the Lake", and she is exceptional. I love this set up more than another rod I have. Its lightweight, fast, and accurate. I can skip baits under mangroves with no problem, and the rod is primarily powerful enough to handle huge fish. I have landed 60 pound tarpon with this rod. I have actually found some solid specs on this rod, but words could not describe how glad I am that I made this investment.
I want to start off by bragging on my life long extended warranty. I feel relaxed understanding that anytime I take this rod out on the water I dont have to worry about hooking some thing "too big". If the rod becomes broken in half by one of the sea beasts that live off the shores of Palm Beach then St Croix will replace it for life!
St. Croix has been manufacturing superb fishing rods for many years and they are well known for their high quality and all American fishing gear. But there are two additional advances that separate them from other premium rod producers. Its their new and exciting advanced SCV graphite and the new high tech IPC tooling process that has been applied to their Legend Elite series rods.
St. Croix Legend Elite (ES66MF) Specs - The material they use is some cutting edge stuff, its called SCv high-modulus|high-strain graphite. It makes a world of difference for me because it keeps the rod light weight and super strong. I dont want to be tired after my 50th cast.

Love at First site: As quickly as I took this rod up at my local tackle shop I was addicted. It was so LIGHT WEIGHT! It was nearly unbelievable. I mean come on 3.5 OZ! Then I saw the price tag, and set it back down. When I started checking out the alternative stuff in there, the guy working the store walked over and took hold of the St Croix. He stated "You have any idea how awesome this rod is?" and at that point pressed on to sell me on it.
